Call to Action Poster Roughs

Image
For this poster roughs I used inspiration from and old Mexican bingo game and changed one of the cards into a symbol as the border to get people attracted to my poster and see the bigger problem in hand. This roughs was my first one I drew and I just got inspired from my  pervious ideas and its people from different backgrounds getting around the world immigrating from all over the world  This image I drew was of a child being caught by I.C.E and the flags are supposed to show how these kids from immigrant parents and they are being treated worse then some criminals and being put in cages.    This rough here is a family at the border and has a saying how they are trying to get there dream and get a better life for the kids they have. This is supposed to be the border but the border is also supposed to be the flag and a family crossing it and that is what this is showing.

Call to Action Poster Final

The process of making these two posters has shown me how long the process of making an Action Poster could be fun in a way. During the making the process of making these two posters I got my inspiration from my friends and the research I conducted by looking up my social justice problem of immigration. For the first action poster, I got the idea of a family arriving at the border and trying to get to the other side which is the U.S.A., and the border has sayings or other things protesting against the violation of human rights when people go through deportation process or other expressions that the immigrant family might be feeling and how its supposed to have a gloomy feeling since that is no place to be like a happy situation. As for the other poster I got inspiration from a famous or not-so-known Mexican card game called "loterĂa" It is basically a different version of bingo. So I decided to make a big symbol like the border and make its own card and have it captioned in ...

social justice spreads reflection

Social Justice Spreads Reflection  While making my spreads this taught me a lot about what I was reaching and what I wanted to show in my spreads. My spreads were about the social justice problem of Immigration and the struggles of people who immigrate to other countries for a better life. I mostly looked at the immigration crisis in the United States. I showed how they immigrated and the causes and other struggles that are happening with people who are immigrating to the United States and how it affected the United States since so many immigrants are going to the United States and how it negatively it's affecting the United States but how it also can improve the country of the united states in many ways such as a lot that many people aren't willing to do many other people who are hungry for jobs and looking for jobs are willing to do since they are coming to the United States for a better life and gain more money for their families back at their country of origin or for the fa...

Designing Symbols for Change

Image
Designing Symbols for Change My experience in the Cooper Hewitt was fun and interesting and very fun. I learned many things about symbols and it was used throughout history. Such as in the Olympics in Germany, Japan, Mexico, and one other I can't remember. But the tour guide was showing how the symbols were used for the Olympics especially since so many countries are participating we need something everyone can understand and it would be the symbols to be used to show the sport that is being represented and how each time the Olympics was being hosted each time the symbols were being changed so it can better representing and more understood by the people in the world and overall each year the Olympics are being held it changes and changes with time and you get to notice each year how it's improved and how it can be improved throughout the year. Later on the trip, I was able to partner up with my friend to make a symbol to show a worldwide problem that is happening right now, t...
